Recently, members of RASRE’s Land Invasion Unit came to the aid of an elderly resident in Ramaphosa, Rust-Ter-Vaal, whose home was destroyed by fire.

Following the devastating incident, the team provided building materials, including zinc sheets and other essential items, to assist the elderly woman in rebuilding her temporary home. Deeply moved by the support, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the team, saying the assistance would help restore her dignity and provide her with a place to call home once again.

The initiative reflects RASRE’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the communities in which it operates.

The spirit of Ubuntu was also evident during RASRE’s ongoing relocation operation in the City of Tshwane, where operational teams have gone beyond their core mandate by assisting 13 families to rebuild temporary structures following relocation. Among those assisted was a household led by a young boy, highlighting the human stories behind every operation.

While our primary responsibility is to provide professional relocation, eviction, land invasion prevention and security services, we recognise that our work often places us in communities facing difficult circumstances. Whenever possible, we believe in lending a helping hand and restoring hope.

As Nelson Mandela Day approaches, RASRE encourages South Africans to embrace the spirit of service by finding meaningful ways to uplift those in need.
