On Tuesday, 11 November 2025 our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Fuzile Balintulo, had the honour of presenting at the Eastern Cape Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) Conference, held in the Eastern Cape.

The high-level gathering was led by MEC for COGTA, Mr. Zolile Williams, and attended by several key municipal leaders and stakeholders, including Executive Mayors, District Mayors, and Local Mayors from across the province. The conference provided a crucial platform to discuss sustainable governance, land management, and development challenges faced by municipalities in the Eastern Cape.

Mr. Balintulo delivered an impactful presentation titled “Possible Solutions on Land Invasion: Building Integrated, Sustainable Communities.” His insights addressed how proactive monitoring, settlement formalisation, and integrated municipal planning can strengthen governance capacity and support safer, service-ready communities.

The presentation was well received by the MEC, mayors, and attending officials, who commended the relevance and practicality of the Red Ants’ approach to land management and informal settlement upgrading.

As an organisation, we are proud of this engagement, which further positions Red Ants as a trusted partner to government in promoting sustainable urban management and service delivery. We look forward to collaborating on more projects with COGTA and other municipalities soon.
