Date: 14 April 2026

RASRE recently formed part of a coordinated Rea Spana operation conducted in Region 4, Olievenhoutbosch (Ward 77), working alongside key stakeholders, including the City of Tshwane and the South African Police Service (SAPS).

The operation formed part of ongoing efforts to address unlawful land occupation and to support structured urban management within the region. RASRE’s role focused on providing professional operational support to ensure that the process was carried out in a lawful and efficient manner.

As anticipated in operations of this nature, certain areas presented resistance from community members. However, through coordinated planning and the presence of SAPS, the situation remained under control, allowing the operation to proceed with minimal disruption and in accordance with required protocols.

The demolition phase progressed successfully, with a significant number of structures addressed during this period.

RASRE commends the dedication and discipline demonstrated by all teams on the ground. The operation reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to supporting municipalities and stakeholders in managing complex urban challenges with professionalism and respect for the communities involved.

RASRE remains committed to delivering comprehensive urban management support services that contribute to safer, more organised, and sustainable human settlements.
